Frequently Asked Questions

1. What size of air compressor should I use for my machine?

The compressor should be capable of 5-7 CFM @100 PSI. A 5-horsepower compressor is the ideal size and will last many years. We recommended that the compressed air supplied to the depositor be run through an air drying system, as this will increase the service life of the pneumatic components.

2. What air pressure should I be using when operating the machine?

Optimum performance is achieved by setting the air pressure gauge on the machine to 80 PSI at rest and at least 70 PSI while cycling.

3. How often do I need to change my O-rings?

O-rings should be changed when you start to see fluctuations in your deposit sizes, or if there are any cuts, nicks, or flat spots on the ring. Some customers change their O-rings every day while others change them every week or two depending on the type of product they are using.

4. What type of lubricant should I use on my O-rings?

Unifiller supplies each new machine with a tube of Lubri-Film Plus. We recommend using this lubricant as it has a USDA rating of H-1. The lubricant is sanitary, non-toxic, odorless and tasteless.

5. What size of product cylinder should I use for my machine?

The correct product cylinder size depends on the required deposit volume. Please enquire with customer care for your best options customercare@unifiller.com

6. Can I run hot products through my machine?

Unifiller makes special pistons and Uni-Valves for hot products, allowing the machine to be run up to 180 degrees Fahrenheit.

7. How long will it take to get a machine?

Standard machine delivery EXW is 2 to 6 weeks, depending on the model and current production schedule at time of order.

8. Can we try a machine before we buy it?

We can arrange sales on a trial agreement where you may return a purchased machine within a pre-determined time if you are not satisfied with its performance.

9. Where can I see a machine in action?

We invite you to visit our test bakery, located at our company headquarters in Delta, BC, Canada.

10. Do you have a technical representative in the local area?

Unifiller machines are sold all over the world, but all technical questions and parts orders are handled by telephone through our Customer Care Department – On-site service visits by factory technicians are available at additional cost.
